You come home after having a long day at work and you need to relax. And what better place to relax than in your cosy bedroom? The perfect way to do so is by getting into your PJs and into your bed with a great novel or watching your favourite rom-com movie. Using these tips and tricks, convert your bedroom into the cosiest bedroom ever!
Paint the walls white to create a lighter room and if you want an accent wall, add textured wallpaper to the wall behind the bed.
Soft lighting enhances the space in your room and you can go two ways with it. Either a chandelier with a dimmer as your overhead lighting or two lamps on either side of your bed.
When you think of a cosy bedroom, you immediately picture a tufted headboard.
Next up is the bedding. This is one of the most important factors considered when creating a cosy bedroom. Invest in good bedding which is soft and made of high- quality fabrics. They add to your comfort more than what you place around the room.
I cannot stress this but when it comes to the pillows, the more the better. Never be afraid to have too many pillows on the bed. Mix and match your favourite colours/ patterns and place these fluffy pillows on that bed!
Go an extra mile and add a canopy over the bed for a more luxe look. Drape your bed in sheer white for the no-fail way to add comfort.
To go even further, add a piece of furniture to the foot of the bed. This could be one bench or two pieces of ottomans that can also be used to store misc items which in the result, reduce the clutter giving you a clean looking bedroom every day.
Rugs are a great way to add texture and colour to the cosy bedroom and by adding and layering rugs of different shapes and patterns to your bedroom, you give it an extra-comfy look and feel.
Binge watching your favourite tv show or watching your favourite movie in bed is comforting in the cosy bed but visible electronics kill the entire cosy look. Therefore, hide them away in your nightstand.
